Summary: It's Christmas, and whether or not they realize it, Tony Stark and Jim Rhodes are setting themselves on their own paths.

Notes: Movie/comic mash up written for halfshellvenus in Yuletide '08. Comic book plotlines and characters referenced include ones from "Extremis" and "Demon in a Bottle," as well as from the series The Crew; you don't have to have read the comics to follow along, as this was written with movie-canon as the main canon. I didn't originally intend it as such, but now that I've been rereading, it functions pretty well as an earlier companion piece to Effective Communication, though both are stand-alones.
