!!!!!!!!!
I am never, ever worrying about winding up on the last-second pinch hit list ever again.
No, seriously.
In fact, after last year and this year, it would be welcome. Last year, my request was defaulted on at the last moment, and I received four beautiful Mary Poppins stories. This year, the same thing happened, and I was lucky enough to have four Burn Notice and two Hellboy stories written for me.
These stories make those days of worrying about whether or not my prompts totally sucked so worth it.
(You do not know how difficult it is for me to keep my finger off the capslock and the shift+1 keys right now. Yuletide!!! Fics!!! Awesome fics!!! Christmas!!!)
Burn Notice:
Luck of the Irish. In Ireland, Fiona causes one hell of a scene.
Cats and Raccoons. Michael and Fiona, as explained by Sam Axe.
Leaving Ireland. Michael slips away.
Regret. Michael, on Fiona.
Hellboy:
Pictures of You. After leaving the BPRD, Liz tries to find normalcy. It's short, so I don't want to quote anything; quoting would mean quoting most of the fic at you, but oh, it is lovely.
Xoloitzcuintli. Two admissions: (1) I had to copy and paste the title, and (2) I haven't actually read this one yet; I am being shoved out the door and it is 9000 (!!!!) words and I am fighting but my mom is not taking no for an answer. But rest assured, I am going to dive on this when I get back from family stuff this afternoon; it is my primary story and a casefic!!!
EDIT: Home and I have read! It's a casefic starring Liz, which is so happy-making! The following is from a conversation she's having with Abe, about Manning:
Unrelated, but my mom conspired with
jothra to pick comic books for me for Christmas. SNEAKY.
HAPPY YULETIDE/MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I hope everyone who did Yuletide received stories as wonderful as mine; I did not have time to gush, but trust me: I am screaming with joy on the inside.

Burn Notice:
Luck of the Irish. In Ireland, Fiona causes one hell of a scene.
If Fiona has one weakness as an operative, it's her tendency to use explosives when they aren't really necessary, or even useful. If she has two weaknesses, though-- the second one is a tendency to overdramatize when she's playing a role. Michael has worked on this with her, tried to get her to tone it down. Apparently it hasn't helped.
Cats and Raccoons. Michael and Fiona, as explained by Sam Axe.
Yeah, Fiona liked him, you could tell that right away. But she was gonna make him work for it all the same. Then there's that ... violence thing. Took a little time, but eventually she provoked him into a fight. And oh, man, did that heat it up.
Leaving Ireland. Michael slips away.
Maybe more than he ever had loved someone, or ever would again. He would go on, and she would move on. She was beautiful, resourceful, and strong. She would forget him.
That, or she would hunt him down and bitch slap him with an assault rifle.
With Fiona, he could never be too sure.
Regret. Michael, on Fiona.
"One of the boys from America, returned to the mother country?" She grabbed my hand and pulled me into a dark alley. "Seamus sent me. He fell ill."
I raised my eyebrow. Seamus was my contact and he shouldn't have sent anyone in his place. Suddenly she pushed up against me, her breasts prodding into my chest. "Don't worry, Michael. I'll keep you safe."
And like that, I was in over my head.

"I just wish he would stop treating me like a child."
"I wish he'd stop treating me like a main course."
For the first time, Liz broke a small smile.
"But what if I don't ever gain control over this?" She held up her hands, inspecting them - not with curiosity, but with disdain and frustration.

I'm tempted to participate in this Yuletide thing next year. How come I've never heard of it before?

Yuletide is a pretty big thing in fandom; there are more participants every year. This year, I think there were 1600 or so? It was my second year doing it; it's so, so fun. I highly recommend it!
