the day has finally come
OKAY, I've been on LJ for literally over a decade, but this latest bullshit is too much for me. A while back, I experimented with a Dreamwidth account, but honestly having a name that's so different from my usual one just freaks me out, so please ignore that old account, which I really never used, and add this one:
sotto_voce. I was originally intending to use it as a fic journal, but EH, having my regular journal and my fic journal as one and the same has been working out for me just fine. I'm in the queue for all of my stuff to be imported over to that account.
sotto_voce is currently in a state of chaos as I import all of my LJ content and try to figure out layouts and my Circle and stuff, and I probably won't get it fully set up til after the Yuletide rush, but there it is. If I have your DW name, I've added you over there. If I haven't added you, I don't know your DW name! Add me!!!
I will be crossposting everything to my LJ and will still be reading my f-list, but enough people have now made the jump to DW -- and I am now annoyed enough with LJ -- that I feel comfortable shifting over thataways as my main blogging platform. Thanks to OpenID, everyone who is currently able to read my LJ posts will be able to read the DW ones as well (if I know your DW name, that's the account that has all of the access, not necessarily your LJ); folks can comment wherever they'd like, though I'll be trying to do more of my own commenting at Dreamwidth. If you ever try to click over to a Dreamwidth post and it says you don't have the necessary permissions to read it, nine times out of 10, that is because I am incompetent with filters and you should tell me so I can fix it!
tl;dr --

(WOW, this is the first time I've commented anywhere since the changes took effect, and this is REALLY bizarre -- hope this posts right, since I can't figure out how to preview, now...)
