I come bearing a request!!!
I have a long flight coming up, so I'm looking for ways to amuse myself. (I'm also investing in Tylenol PM, but I'm dubious about whether it's actually going to drug me the way that I want it to.) If I had my choice, I would happily sit and watch hours of Capital Scandal and Golden Girls for the entirety of the flight, but it turns out that the airline doesn't offer electrical outlets (the airline's U.S. arm? has power outlets for every seat. the international arm? zero. wow, how delightful! >:(((( ), and my laptop only has 20-30 minutes of battery life before it gives up and shuts the fuck down.
I don't generally enjoy the in-flight entertainment and my #1 choice for keeping myself entertained and chill isn't going to be available due to the shitty outlet situation, so I'm looking for fic recommendations, the longer the better. I like reading in any fandoms that I'm even remotely familiar with (the list of fandoms on my AO3 is pretty good; I'm also into Avengers, Leverage, Young Avengers, Static Shock, New Girl, iCarly, Psych, Archer, Happy Endings, Deadpool, most iterations of Sherlock Holmes, etc. etc.), but I'll totally read AUs/good fics for fandoms I don't know, too (case in point: I'm not interested in Teen Wolf but I read a long Stiles/Derek AU where Stiles is a kindergarten teacher and Derek is raising his nephews becauseI was procrastinating it sounded cute).
All of which is a long way of saying: could you please drop me some links to your favorite (preferably lengthy and on the happier side, but I'll take pretty much anything) fics on AO3? I'm going to fill my iPod with PDFs and spend a couple hours reading. Thanks, you guys; I would really appreciate it.

Also, I have not read enough of this to form an opinion but there's a Friends AU!Avengers fic that I'm reading that's 31 chapters long and WIP. It has a bunch of pairings (as expected since it's based off of the show) and it's Steve/Tony, but I think it might be perfect for a long flight.
Is there any way for you to convert your Capital Scandal or Golden Girl episodes for your iPod? (iSquint is a good app for it!) That might be an option.

Muggle Fairy Tales Are Mad!, in which the Camping Trip from Hell becomes that much more bearable when Ron asks Hermione to tell them a story. Still in progress, but you can stop wherever it's done when you get there.
Not Quite Made in China, a Once Upon a Time fic in which Emma breaks the curse without really meaning to. I am pretty sure this story is actually magic. Like, literally. This one's complete.
The Twisted Turbine, a '20s noir AU of Warehouse 13 (it should sense-make enough without background knowledge of the show). I did not know I needed this story in my life until it existed. (Also, the author made Myka an MHC alum. HOW CAN I NOT APPROVE.)
Seems So Easy for Everybody Else, a BBC Sherlock FtM!Sherlock story that is utterly amazeballs.
The Spiral of Lives, an Avatar (Cameron) AU in which the Avatar program doesn't exist and that one little change makes the story SO MUCH BETTER.
The Women of Amphissa, in which... well. It's a smooshing together of two highly improbable Yuletide requests. And dinosaurs. I mean this in the best way possible, but you'll think you're reading a cheesy Syfy movie script.
And to toot my own horn: Living in America (Where It's Like the Twilight Zone). This was my AU Big Bang project last year; it's Warehouse 13, but I think the main thing you need to know is my OTP is a background story and half of it's been dead for 50 years when they first turn up in canon. I have FEELS about that, so I decided I was going to let him live. XD
