Every year, I'm like, THIS IS IT, THIS IS GONNA BE THE YEAR WHERE I'M NOT THAT ASSHOLE WHO RECS BUT TAKES FOREVER TO COMMENT, and every year, I write the recs first and comments second. Which is to say: I still owe comments for a number of these fics. But I really, really loved them, and I think you would love them too, so you should read them.

Morris: Both, of course. That’s my, Naya, and Kevin’s dream—all three at the same time. I’m dead serious, we always talk about it. But I don’t think Ryan and Brad and Ian would go for it. We’re too young on the show. We can’t get into shit like that. Not until [our characters] are, like, 20 and we all move to Los Angeles.

I really enjoy this cast! I'm pretty sure that sound you just heard was fandom exploding. Interview source here. Before the inevitable questions: I HAVE SEEN BOTH GLEE NUMBERS THAT LEAKED TODAY/YESTERDAY, I am in love with both, expect a spoiler post at some point in the near future.

I CAN'T STOP WATCHING THIS. It's the John Waters mustaches and the "haaaaa" faces combined with Nicki Minaj's brilliant appearance; I actually bought it on iTunes and have been listening to it since it aired on Saturday Night Live last weekend.

I watch American Idol more because my mom is into it than because I particularly like it, but I have a new favorite contestant this year! (Singing-wise, at least; I found her manner slightly off-putting, but A: I think the producers probably told her to play up the Harvard and White House shit, and B: she seemed very nervous, so I'm good with cutting her some slack). This is Molly Swenson.

She walked out and I was like, man, she looks familiar; and then she said she just graduated from Harvard, and that rang a bell, and then they introduced her as Molly and I realized why I recognized her.

In early December, I went through a phase where I did nothing but hop from random a cappella video to random a cappella video on YouTube, primarily thanks to Glee and The Sing Off reawakening my a cappella ~*feelings*~. One of the random groups that I stumbled across was the Harvard Opportunes, where tall blonde Molly was one of my favorite soloists. I remember even trying to Google her once I realized she had graduated, because I wanted to find out if she had a music career going, but I was totally unable to find her. And then her face showed up on my TV! SO WEIRD.

It is just totally weird to see someone who I posted a YouTube video of a month ago standing on my TV in front of Jennifer Lopez. ( One more video. )

I was PARKING LOT WATCH yesterday; it's like neighborhood watch only more badass. Aka: I was really bored at my desk, which has a giant window overlooking the parking lot, and I heard a tremendous crunch and looked down just in time to see two cars -- one parked and one trying to park -- rocking back and forth after one hit the other. ( This is where it pays off to compulsively watch the parking lot all day long. )

That was the day's excitement. It doesn't quite beat the time that a federal agency orchestrated a drug bust in the parking lot and the agent who'd been disguised as a pizza delivery boy pulled a shotgun out of his trunk, but it was entertaining nonetheless!

I have been watching TV that is not Glee! Spoiler-free thoughts so far ( on Southland, How I Met Your Mother, American Idol, Bones, White Collar, Community. )

I'm experimenting with a Pandora radio station based on the prompt "Glee cast." It is uproarious. I spent half my afternoon yesterday laughing every time a new song by an eighties hair band or from a Disney movie came on. ( Track list. )

The rest of this post is going to be about Glee, since it's pretty much my only fandom at this point and now that they're filming again and the show is due back in a little over two weeks, there are spoilers exploding out of every possible place. AHHHHHH SPOILERS. ( I swear to God people who work on this show are spending more time leaking spoilers than doing their actual jobs. )
